A 30-year-old Worcester woman who went missing Friday morning after leaving her job at a bakery was found dead on Monday, police said.
The body of Joanna Brown was found inside a gray Mitsubishi Outlander around 4 p.m. in the area of Mount Vernon Street in the city, police said in a statement.
Brown’s family had reported her missing Sunday, two days after she was seen leaving her job at Bean Counter Bakery Cafe on Grove Street, police said.
The business said via Facebook that she did not show up for her Saturday shift, something she had never done without notice in her eight years working there.
“At this time the circumstances around the death of Ms. Brown are being actively investigated by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and members of the Worcester Police Detective
