WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A state program designed to keep offenders out of prison and enhance public safety has remained in limbo for the past month.

The community corrections program faced proposed funding changes that would have provided major boosts to some counties while cutting funding for others, including Sedgwick County.

Those proposed boosts and cuts for the community corrections program have now paused.
