POTTER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Potter County Sheriff's Office shares safety tips for shoppers and reminds residents of their delivery service in preparation for the holiday season.

PCSO offers the following shopping safety tips for in-store shoppers: • When shopping, try to park close to the building in well-traveled, visible areas. • If shopping at night, choose well-lit spots in the parking lot. • Before leaving your car, take a quick look around to ensure everything appears safe. If you have a flashlight, carry it with you. • When returning to your car, stay alert and check your surroundings. Notice if any nearby vehicles are running or if people are sitting inside. • Avoid carrying too many bags at once so you can stay aware and keep your hands free if needed.
