PRESCOTT, AZ (AZFamily) — A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car at a Prescott intersection on Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the intersection of Willow Lake Road and Pine Drive for reports of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle just before 7:30 p.m.
Prescott police say the motorcyclist, a 40-year-old Prescott Valley resident, was eastbound on Willow Lake Road when a Ford Eclipse driven by a 56-year-old Prescott resident attempted to make a left turn onto Pine Drive in front of the motorcycle.
The man who was riding the motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital, but later died due to his injuries. His name has not been released.
The other driver wasn’t hurt but was issued a ticket. Officers say impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
