BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — In order for the Bridgeport Indians to complete their perfect regular season, they had to turn in a stellar offensive performance against rival Fairmont Senior, but running back Gavin Williams was up to the challenge, and that makes him our Harry Green Athlete of the Week.
Williams had 20 carries for 411 yards and five touchdowns in Bridgeport's 62-28 win over Fairmont Senior last Friday, setting the school's single-game rushing record.
"First of all, I just want to give all glory to god. I can't do anything without him," Williams said. "And also, I want to give credit to my linemen, because none of this would've happened without them. They block so well, and they create big holes for me, that I can just run through."
And last Friday wasn't a fluke either. Ove
