TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The winners of Tucson's recent election in City Council Wards 3, 5 and 6 are preparing to address one of the city's most pressing issues: the roads. The soon-to-be council members have highlighted the poor condition of the roads as a primary concern.
Catherine Shields, who drives across Tucson for work, expressed her thoughts on the situation.
"In general, the roads are pretty bad everywhere - there are some neighborhoods where they are really treacherous," Shields said.
She is pleased that newly elected council members Miranda Schubert in Ward Six and Celina Barajas in Ward Five are prioritizing road improvements.
