MADISON (WKOW) -- Lawmakers representing Wisconsin are not all on the same page about what will end the shutdown and re-open the federal government, that's now the longest recorded shutdown ever.

"It's unacceptable what we're doing, because we're putting food assistance at risk, we're putting healthcare at risk, and we're treating federal employees awfully," said Rep. Mark Pocan at a press conference Wednesday. "I'm ready to go back any day, I was [in Washington] last week for a little bit, but it's really up to House Republicans to do their job and show up."

Pocan said Republicans are playing with people's livelihoods. He and other Democrats want the permanent extension of health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act that are set to expire.
