COLUMBIA — The Kinney Point affordable housing project is set to be completed with occupants chosen by the end of November.
The property currently has 10 single bedroom units that are all occupied and have been since August.
There are 34 total units in the project, which cost $13 million in total.
"We had a lot of local support," said Randy Cole, the CEO of the Columbia Housing Authority. "Veterans United put in the first $1 million and it was a catalyst for other organizations to contribute."
The Columbia Housing Authority is a public agency that provides affordable housing to low-income families and individuals in Columbia and Boone County.
