SPENCER, Iowa (KCAU) —The Spencer Rotary Club is holding its annual book sale this week. The five-day book sale kicked off Wednesday at the Clay County Fair and Events Center at the Clay County fairgrounds and goes through Sunday.
Over 30,000 books donated by community members and libraries are on sale, as well as CDs and DVDs.
"This is definitely our biggest fundraiser. It really helps us to give back to the community to support all the causes we support. Scholarships and the Spencer community at large. As our largest fundraiser, it's a big deal for us, and it’s also a community service as well for the community to come and get to buy gently used books and enjoy them being passed on," said Joe Weber, Vice President of the Spencer Rotary Club.
