Michael Garcia promised supporters late Tuesday "change is coming" to Santa Fe.

He doubled down on the message the following day, noting in a Wednesday interview he's committed to delivering transparency and accountability as the city's next mayor, which he believes has been missing from City Hall for nearly eight years.

Garcia has butted heads with two-term Mayor Alan Webber during his six years as a city councilor, but he will soon be the one wielding the gavel after breezing to victory in the crowded mayoral race.
