KONA, Hawai’i (Island News) -- Police have identified the human remains of a man that was discovered in March.

The Hawaii Police Department found a deceased man in an unfinished structure on the 75-0000 block of Ali’i Drive in Kona this past March. The body was identified as 41-year-old Alan Joseph Dush of Ocean View.

Foul play is not suspected in this investigation. Detectives have been investigating the case for months and previous methods of identifying the deceased were unsuccessful.

“Police thank the public for their assistance,” Hawaii Police Department said in a news release.
