FAIRMONT — A dispute between opposing sides in the Henry Silver murder case continues to escalate in the aftermath of the latest trial connected to the alleged crime.
Both sides have filed heated motions in court against each other, with Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Sean Murphy accusing Elgine McArdle, defendant Ryan Lane’s attorney and investigator Lowell Maxey of a belligerent and confrontational approach as well as repeated personal attacks. Maxey’s attorney, Michael Hissam, fired back saying the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office had engaged in lawfare against his client, and that Murphy is the source of the allegations.
