ALBANY – Albany County Court Judge William Little, Jr., a Democrat born and raised in Monticello in Sullivan County, defeated Dana Lynn Salazar to win a seat on the New York State Supreme Court for the Third Judicial District.
Little, 47, has served as Albany County Court Judge for roughly three years before this latest election. Little and Salazar went head-to-head to fill the position currently held by Supreme Court Justice John Egan, who is retiring.
The Third Judicial District is composed of Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Ulster counties.
Little, who resides in Albany County with his wife and two daughters, served as counsel to the New York State Senate before taking the bench as a county court judge.
