SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A new comedy club will replace the Blue Room after the venue closed amid multiple investigations into customer complaints.

BARK Entertainment, which operates clubs in five states, has signed a lease to take over the building. The company plans to open the Springfield Comedy Club on Dec. 12.

One of the first shows will feature Matt McCusker, whose Dec. 12 and 13 performances were canceled at Blue Room. Customers accused the club of refusing refunds for those shows.

Adam Norwest, owner of BARK Entertainment, said he will honor tickets from the canceled shows and work to compensate other customers who lost money.
