BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A recount is taking place in Bucksport Thursday afternoon for the School Board election.

Keith Kneeland Jr., lost the seat to Emily Fitzgerald by three votes, according to unofficial town results.

Kneeland requested the recount.

It will be held at 3:30 Thursday afternoon in the Town Office Council Chambers.

A recount was requested in Ellsworth as well. Three seats were open on their City Council.

John Linnehan, who has run for city council several times, sent an email to the city Tuesday night after after getting the fourth most votes.

He lost the third open seat to Marinna Smith by just two votes. The candidate receiving the second most votes, Carol Patterson-Martineau, received just two more votes than Smith.
