BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - The city of Birmingham looks a lot different today than what it did 10 years ago. New businesses, housing options and entertainment venues are popping up all over the city. And as the city works to build on that progress, we're looking ahead to the next 10 years of business in Birmingham.

According to CR-Endeavors CEO Robert Simon, a lot of Birmingham's economic growth started with the creation of Railroad Park in 2010.

"We refer to this as the pebble in the pond. Drop a pebble and ripples go out. So that's what we did here. We have impacted both the southside of Birmingham and the northside of Birmingham," Simon said.
