STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — The City of Stockbridge has voted in the youngest mayor in the city's history, who is currently attending college to get his political science degree.

22-year-old Jayden Williams is a student at Clark Atlanta University.

According to his campaign website, he was voted Freshman class president and was appointed as a White House Scholar twice. Williams also served as the Youth Mayor Emeritus for the City of Stockbridge Youth Council and the Chairman Emeritus of the Youth Leaders of Henry.

Williams unseated incumbent Mayor Anthony Ford. Ford, a retired Army Colonel, has lived with his family in Stockbridge since 2010. He first became a part of city hall as a councilman in 2014. From there, he served as mayor pro tem in 2016 and eventually rose to the highest office in th
