A group of community members is raising serious concerns about alleged election irregularities, conflicts of interest and misuse of public funds at the South Winnipeg Community Centre (SWCC).

In a confidential letter sent to the Winnipeg Sun, a whistleblower alleged that the 2024 SWCC board election — overseen by the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres (GCWCC) — was “marred by procedural breaches and perceived bias,” with claims of collusion, voter ineligibility and a lack of transparency in the vote count.
