A heated confrontation between Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLC Ajay Kumar dominated the first phase of polling in Lakhisarai on Wednesday, shortly after Sinha’s convoy came under attack in a nearby village.

The clash unfolded outside a polling booth, where the two leaders exchanged sharp accusations in full public view. Sinha alleged that the RJD legislator was “creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol,” while Ajay Kumar retorted that the Deputy Chief Minister was a “criminal” trying to “distribute money to influence voters.”
