KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Fire Department crews responded to multiple house fires overnight, one on Wednesday night and one early Thursday morning.
Crews responded to the first fire around 8 p.m. Wednesday. The house fire was on East 58th Terrace near Swope Parkway. When responders arrived, they said smoke was showing from a single-family home and immediately began interior operations.
All occupants of the house evacuated safely. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by KCFD.
Later, around 12:40 a.m. KCFD responded to another house fire on Monroe Avenue between 45th and 46th streets. Responders reported smoke coming from an occupied single-family home. The homeowners said there was a fire in the kitchen, according to KCFD.
