HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Former North Carolina State Rep. Cecil Brockman walked out of jail on Wednesday morning after posting bond the day before.

Video shows Brockman leaving the High Point Jail on Wednesday morning and leaving in a vehicle that was waiting for him.

Brockman posted on Tuesday afternoon after a judge agreed to lower his bond amount on Monday, according to court records.

Brockman (D-District 60) was arrested and charged on Oct. 8 with two counts of indecent liberties and two counts of statutory sex offense. The magistrate initially denied him bond, alleging that he had attempted to make contact with his underage victim while they were hospitalized and used his influence as a state legislator to try and contact them.
