Efforts are underway to strengthen and reform cooperative banks, aiming to further bolster their systems and move towards effective digitalisation of the smaller banks within this sector.

In this connection, an international conference on the urban cooperative credit sector, “Co-op Kumbh 2025,” is being hosted by the National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) in New Delhi on November 10- 11, which is going to be inaugurated by Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.

NAFCUB is the apex body that represents over 1,500 Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) and nearly 60,000 Credit Societies across the country.
