BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Heritage Preservation Commission held its second ceremony to honor century-old buildings in Bemidji on Tuesday.
The commission first honored Mt. Zion Church — formerly Nymore Lincoln School — located at 414 Lincoln Ave. SE, and then honored its first residential building, located at 606 Lincoln Ave. SE.
The newest member of the commission, Ashton Loebs, presented the 100-year structure in Bemidji decal to Mt. Zion Church Pastor Steve Thompson. Then, commission chair Linda Lemmer, alongside Joan Dreyer, held a presentation to honor the residential building, which belongs to Lois Jenkins, another commission member.
The Bemidji Heritage Preservation Commission previously honored three downtown Bemidji buildings in June to kick off the century-old building program.
