LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed an executive order out of Lincoln on Thursday morning.

Pillen says the executive order will protect Nebraska taxpayer dollars from being used for abortion services with Planned Parenthood. There is one Planned Parenthood in Lincoln and one in Omaha.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will immediately review abortion providers across the state.

Attorney General Mike Hilgers joined Pillen for the signing at 10 a.m. Thursday.

At the signing, Pillen said if a provider is terminated from another state, they will also be blacklisted from Nebraska.
