FARGO — The Red River Valley SWAT team will hold training exercises from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in two locations in Fargo.

According to a release from the Fargo Police Department, the SWAT team will train in the 50 block of Fourth Street North from noon to 4 p.m., then train in the 1000 block of 28th Street North from 4-9 p.m.

While SWAT team members may been seen carrying firearms and moving around buildings, no live rounds will be used, the release said. Residents can expect to hear loud noises and yelling in those area, as well as see SWAT vehicles with lights turned on.

Though there is no threat to public safety, those with concerns are asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 and ask to speak with a training facilitator.
