HARTLEY COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) - The Texas Department of Public Safety released information on a Wednesday crash in Hartley County in which four people were killed when a semi-truck rear-ended a car with a flat tire on US 87.
According to Texas DPS, 20-year-old Myunique Johnson, 18-year-old Lakeisha Brown, 31-year-old Breanna Brantley, and 28-year-old Taylor White were all traveling together on Wednesday in a 2020 Nissan Altima, southbound on US 87.
At around 1:40 p.m., about 10 miles south of Dalhart, Texas DPS said the Nissan experienced a flat tire and was traveling at a slow rate of speed. Meanwhile, a 2020 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was also traveling southbound on US 87.
