MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — A traffic stop in Monroe County on Thursday morning led to a pursuit that ended in Toledo after the vehicle’s occupants fled, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff's office said the incident began shortly after 9 a.m. when a deputy stopped a vehicle on I-75 near Erie Road for a traffic violation. While the deputy attempted to gather identification, the driver fled south on I-75.
According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle exited the interstate at Alexis Road in Toledo, where deputies later found it abandoned at a business in the 1000 block of Alexis Road. The driver and two passengers were not located and remain at large.
The Toledo Police Department and the Ohio Highway Patrol assisted at the scene. The case remains under investigatio
