TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One of two men charged with killing a Terre Haute man will be in court Thursday to set a new trial date after his was pushed back in October.
22-year-old Kyle Peretti was arrested, along with 18-year-old Joshua Torpy, for allegedly killing Mark Gayer, of Terre Haute. The two also allegedly wounded 33-year-old Meagan Anderson during the incident.
Peretti was charged with two counts of burglary where serious bodily injury occurs and aggravated battery.
Peretti was originally scheduled to appear in court for a trial on October 14. However, that trial was delayed due to a backlog in the courts. He will appear in court on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for a hearing to set new trial dates.
Torpy's trial date has been set for February 2026.
