CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — An Elizabethton woman has been charged with murder in connection with an overdose death.
According to a news release from the Carter County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), Brooklyn Sue Collins, 23, was arrested earlier in 2024 in a drug trafficking conspiracy case.
On Thursday, the CCSO announced that Collins was additionally charged with second-degree murder and the sale of a Schedule II drug (fentanyl).
"The charges against Collins stem from an investigation that began in November 2023 when a male was found deceased at his residence as a result of a drug overdose," the CCSO stated.
