OMAHA, Neb. —

Black Men United, located near 30th Street and Ames Avenue in Omaha, is seeking donations to support its food pantry as Thanksgiving approaches.

The organization hopes to provide essential resources for families experiencing SNAP benefits cuts.

Jermaine Bell is a barber by trade and a board member of the organization.

He greeted people looking to put food on the table each week.

"When I come down here and I see what we've been doing and just giving back and not asking anything in return, you can't ask for anything better," Bell said.

Since the cuts to SNAP, Bell has noticed an increase in the number of people lining up for food.
