St. Andrew’s School will present Eliza Anderson’s Mill Girls later this month. Joanne Fayan, the arts department chair and theatre teacher at St. Andrew’s, will direct the play.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15. The Nov. 14 show is at 7 p.m., while the Nov. 15 show is at 1 p.m. Both performances are in the Keats Theatre in the McCulloch Center for the Arts on St. Andrew’s campus. Admission is free and open to the public; donations are welcome at the door.

Inspired by true events in Lowell and Lawrence, Mass., Mill Girls is a story about the mill girls in Industrial Revolution New England who, though finding freedom in earning a living, strive for reasonable wages and conditions, and change the course of history.
