A new mural unveiled today on Main Street is paying tribute to one of Winnipeg’s earliest and most successful hockey teams — the Winnipeg Victorias, three-time Stanley Cup champions who helped shape the sport’s early history.
The four-storey mural, installed on the south side of the building that houses the Palomino Club, depicts players from the Victorias during their championship years. The launch event drew city officials, members of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame, and other dignitaries, including Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham, who joined the celebration recognizing the team’s legacy.
