CLOQUET — Having worked with over 6,000 vendors over the course of a decade, Laurie Gillen began having to turn sellers away from her consignment store, The Loft in Duluth, because she lacked the physical space to accommodate them.

“That's a great problem to have, but it's not a problem that I wanted to have either,” she said.

After consulting with friends and customers, Gillen decided it was time to expand and open a second location. Having researched the local market and talked with business owners, Gillen decided Cloquet would be the perfect place to open a second location.

After months of planning, The Loft in Cloquet will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, Nov. 8.
