BENNINGTON — A Bennington man has been arrested and held without bail after he allegedly pointed a machete at a neighbor in a threatening manner after a long-standing dispute escalated into felony charges.
Brad White, 45, is charged with four counts, including two felonies - aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and stalking with a deadly weapon. He was also charged with two misdemeanors – criminal threatening and driving under the influence. White faces a possible 13 years behind bars if found guilty on all four counts.
According to a police affidavit, on Monday, November 3, Bennington Police responded to Shepherd Street for a report of a physical threat. The victim stated that White, her neighbor in the same building, pointed a machete at her before speeding off in his vehicle.
