Samira Wiley and Jin Ha have joined the Broadway cast of Proof, opposite Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle.

This marks the Broadway debut for Wiley, an Emmy Award winner for her role on The Handmaid’s Tale and a breakout cast member on Orange Is the New Black . Ha has starred in Hamilton on Broadway and in Chicago and appears in the Apple TV+ series Pacinko .

Proof is set for a 16-week engagement at the Booth Theatre starting March 31, 2026, ahead of an April 16 opening night. Hamilton ‘s Thomas Kail directs the revival of David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play which follows a daughter grieving the loss of her mathematician father, and coming to grips with his life and the mathematical proof he’s left behind.
