WASHINGTON — Throwing a Subway sandwich at a federal agent is not simple assault, a jury decided Thursday morning. Sean Dunn, the man who went viral as "sandwich guy" after the incident was caught on video in the early days of President Donald Trump's federal surge in D.C., was found not guilty.
The jury began deliberating on Wednesday but went home without a verdict after about two hours. Thursday morning, they came back with their decision after another four hours.
“As always, we accept a jury’s verdict; that is the system within which we function.
