NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Fire Department is working to extinguish a fire that left a resident burned on Thursday.
Fire crews responded to reports of a kitchen fire at a home on Truxton Court.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames showing at the home. The 911 caller said that a person at the home was outside but kept going back inside.
A resident was found outside with burns to their body and face. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Crews are continuing to work on extinguishing the fire fully.
“No other injuries have been reported, and Fire Investigators have been called out. This is an active scene,” NFD said.
