Harvey man raped 13-year-old at gunpoint, JPSO says. She was babysitting his child.

A Harvey man is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at gunpoint as she babysat his infant daughter, according to authorities.

Jeremy Hoye, 27, was arrested Monday and booked with first-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile and aggravated assault with a firearm, said Sgt. Brandon Veal, a spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

The assault occurred Monday morning at Hoye's Manhattan Boulevard apartment, according to authorities.

Hoye brought his daughter to the victim's residence but realized he'd forgotten the baby's milk at home, Veal said. He took the victim and the baby back to his apartment to retrieve the milk.
