BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Voters in West Baton Rouge Parish will head to the polls on Saturday, Nov. 15, to vote on two separate parishwide propositions.

The two propositions pertain to drainage and library tax renewals.

If passed, the drainage tax renewal would allow for a 7.2-mill drainage tax on all of the taxable properties in the parish. The tax would begin in 2026 and finish in 2035.

"Shall the Parish of West Baton Rouge, State of Louisiana (the "Parish") be authorized to renew the levy and collection of a 7.2 mill tax on all the property subject to taxation in the Parish (an estimated $5,904,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2026 and ending with the
