BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kidnapped in the Oakland area, two teens were brought to Bakersfield and forced into prostitution, according to a court filing. Their alleged abductors ordered them not to leave a motel room, and warned they were being watched.
Fearing the worst, one of the teens, 17, ripped out her fingernails and hair "so she could be found if she was killed," she told authorities according to a probable cause declaration.
It didn't come to that.
On Saturday, sheriff's deputies spoke with the 17-year-old then executed a search warrant at the Vagabond Inn on Knudsen Drive.
They found evidence of prostitution and human trafficking, according to sheriff's officials.
