ATLANTA — Microsoft is set to return a portion of its 90-acre Quarry Yards property to the City of Atlanta for affordable housing, according to a release from the city.

The tech giant will transfer 22.5 acres of the property to the city through the Atlanta Urban Development Corporation (AUDC). That transfer is expected to be completed in mid-2026.

“We are grateful that Microsoft has decided to partner with us to build more affordable housing in the Grove Park community,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said in the release. “This contribution will both bolster our efforts to provide affordable housing and enrich community resources that are essential to the well-being of our residents."
