BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - In the time it took for a spot to open for Cori Fain-Forrest’s son in her preferred childcare center, she founded a childcare company, developed an app, built and opened a childcare center and will soon open a second location.
“It has been three, going on four years, since I paid that deposit and put my name on the list, and I just got the phone call that my son got a spot at this childcare center,” said Fain-Forrest with a smile on her face.
Fain-Forrest left her job as an executive at a tech startup in Birmingham to create Moxi , a membership-based childcare company.
Moxi offers part-time, full-time or drop-in care. There are no waitlists or commitments, which helped On Your Side Investigator Morgan Hightower secure seasonal care for her daughter.
