HOOVER, Ala. ( WBRC ) - One person has been arrested after they assaulted a bus driver in Hoover Thursday morning.
According to Hoover Police, officers responded to a school bus stop on Summer Place Parkway at 7:31 a.m. Thursday on a report of a bus driver being assaulted by an unknown man. Police say the man was acting erratically and was attempting to enter the bus.
Authorities say the bus driver “took swift action” and notified authorities. Police say they quickly located the suspect and took them into custody.
The driver of the bus sustained minor injuries and no students were involved in the incident. The suspect is not believed to be a resident of nearby apartments or associated with any of the students on the bus, according to police.
