21-year-old arrested for capital murder in connection to Birmingham homicide

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - One person has been arrested in connection to a Birmingham homicide case, authorities say.

According to Birmingham Police, 21-year-old Markell Tolbert has been arrested for capital murder in connection to the death of Monderrius McClellan , who was shot and killed Sunday, Oct. 18.

Officials say Tolbert was taken into custody Tuesday, Nov. 4. He is currently in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
