BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: The weather will remain very pleasant for tonight, but changes are on the way beginning Friday. It won’t be as cold as previous nights, but plan for lows in the 50s Friday morning. Clouds will be on the increase during the day and there will be a chance for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. There will be areas that miss out on a lot of rain, but even though the wet weather is spotty, a few stronger storms are possible. Highs will reach the middle 70s, with a south to southwest wind at 5 to 15 mph.
THE NEXT BIG THING: A strong cold front will arrive this weekend. We will have a mix of clouds and sunshine on Saturday, with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Some data suggests we could touch 80 degrees on Saturday. R
