SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An upcoming community bike ride in Springdale, "Walk and Roll to School," looks to promote active and safe transportation for kids.

Organized by Latinas En Bici, UAMS-ITCH and the Springdale Active Transportation Committee, the event's goal is to encourage safe, healthy travel for children while reducing traffic congestion and strengthening community connections.

Participants will gather at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Hidden Lake St. Family Dollar in Springdale.

Those attending are asked to arrive about 15 minutes before departure, where snacks, hot chocolate and coffee will be provided.
