A Maricopa County judge has ruled that the Board of Supervisors can continue with a third-party audit of the voter database system because sensitive information appears protected and the Recorder’s Office isn’t thrown off schedule for upcoming elections.

The Nov. 6 decision from Superior Court Judge Scott Blaney denied Recorder Justin Heap’s emergency request to block the work of the private Intersect Group on behalf of the board, at least for now.
