FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno State will alert everyone on campus if immigration enforcement is confirmed on its property, the university announced on Thursday.
The alert system is designed to meet the requirements of a new California law called the Sending Alerts to Families in Education (SAFE) Act (SB 98), which was signed into law in September.
Fresno State says the new law requires that colleges and universities notify their campus communities if immigration enforcement activity is confirmed on university property.
