(WKBN) -- A portion of the Mill Creek MetroParks Bikeway will be closed for repairs on Friday.

According to a press release, the MetroParks will be doing asphalt maintenance on the bike trail between Kirk Road in Austintown and Herbert Road in Canfield.

The Kirk Road Trailhead will remain open for parking and continued access to other sections of the trail.

The work is expected to be completed within one day. In case of inclement weather, work will be rescheduled for the next suitable day.
