BUFFALO, N.Y. — An Amherst woman is facing charges after a standoff with police that ended when an officer shot her.
Tonisha Green, 26, was arraigned Thursday on an indictment charging her with one count of menacing in the second degree and four counts of menacing a police officer. Green was arraigned at Erie County Medical Center, where she remains hospitalized.
Amherst Police on Thursday evening released body camera footage of the incident.
Investigators say Amherst Police were called to an apartment complex on Durham Court on Oct. 28 following up on a menacing complaint from the day before.
When officers arrived on scene, they came in contact with Green, who was allegedly armed knife, while outside of her apartment.
